Last Prophet: Muhammad Mustafa (saw)
“O Prophet! Indeed, We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.” 12
(The Holy Qur’an)
Muhammad Mustafa is the prophet of Islam, the servant and messenger of Allah, and the last of the prophets. Every human who embraces Islam is responsible for uttering the kalimah al-shahadah, in other words bearing witness that, “There is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.”
Prophet Muhammad, who was sent as mercy to the universe, brought mercy and justice to the violent and ignorant society he lived. During his duty as prophet for 23 years, he built an exemplary Islamic society with patience, devotion, belief, and compassion.
He is the role model who understood the Holy Qur’an in the best way and reflected it to every moment of his life. He is the finest example nor only for people around him but also for all Muslims regardless of time and place. Even before prophethood, he was known as Muhammad al-Amin (Muhammad the Trustworthy) in Makkah as the example of virtue and morality. He never compromised honesty and truthfulness, and taught people justice, respecting to the rights and privileges of humans, the value of knowledge and the importance of consultation.
We learn from the companions of Prophet Muhammad that he did not have any limit on generosity and helpfulness. He never behaved his wife or anybody serving him in a hurting or demeaning way. He lived in a simple and humble way. He would get angry when the boundaries set by Allah were violated. Other than that, he was understanding, merciful, tolerant, and graceful towards everyone. He was a unique person with his kind heart, smiling face, reassuring voice, and a noble stance.
The path to Allah passes from obeying and being loyal to the Prophet Muhammad. The formula leading to happiness in the world and salvation in the Hereafter for every Muslim is loving the Prophet Muhammad and maintaining a life in accordance with his sunnah.
