Performing Masah over Leather Socks and Bandages

One of the conveniences that Islam provides for Muslims is to perform masah over leather socks. If masah is performed with wet hands over at least three-finger sized portion of the leather socks, which is produced with a solid and thick structure that covers the feet together with the ankles, there is no need to wash the feet during wudu. In order for the masah to be valid, leather socks must be worn with ablution, they must not come off, and the valid period for wearing the leather socks must not expire. Whatever nullifies wudu also nullifies masah. The masah period is one day (24 hours) for muqim people and three days for passengers. This period begins with the breaking of the first wudu after wearing the leather socks.
If a bandaged part of the body is damaged when washed with water due to an excuse such as an injury, illness or fracture, wudu can be performed by performing masah that part of the body. The bandage does not need to be removed and washed, it is sufficient to perform masah over it. If a part of the limb is bandaged, the healthy side is washed and masah is performed over the bandaged area.
