Preventing People's Objection to Allah

Human beings need to be informed to be held responsible and obliged, to be rewarded and punished for what they do in the world, and for that there is a need for a prophet to be sent. This situation makes it necessary for Allah to send prophets upon the people He will hold responsible in the Hereafter. Thus, people are prevented to make excuses against Allah in the Hereafter. In this context, the excuse which will be made by those who do not believe as no prophet was sent in the verse as, "Our Lord! Why did You not send us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses and been among the believers?..." (Qasas, 28/47), and said that prophets were sent to prevent such excuses. The wisdom behind sending a prophet upon each ummah is stated in the Holy Qur'an as follows: "[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers..." (Nisa, 4/165)
