Social Order and Law
Family is the core of social life. The Qur'an aims to establish a solid home. For this reason, it extensively covers the issues related to family life.
One of the issues that the Qur'an emphasizes in this context is to respect women and not to allow their dignity and rights to be violated. With the practices of the Messenger of Allah (saw), the Qur'an broke new ground in this regard.
The Qur'an has also introduced rules on legal issues such as murder, stealing, committing terrorism, adultery, giving testimony, marriage, divorce, and inheritance. Also, in the Qur'an, in the field of economy, human work, halal, haram, trade, zakat, charity, and inheritance are mentioned. Again, in this context, prohibited behaviors such as deception, extortion, theft and interest are emphasized.
One of the purposes of the provisions brought by the Qur'an is to protect the honor and rights of people. As a matter of fact, many provisions have been made regarding the protection of weakened and helpless people from injustice.
In the provisions of the Qur'an, only the interests of people in the world and the Hereafter, peace and happiness are taken into consideration. Otherwise, it is clear that Allah (swt), who sent these decrees, does not need anything in these subjects. As a matter of fact, when the verses related to the subject are considered, it is not difficult to understand the reasons and wisdom of the decrees.
