They Do Not Know the Ghaib (Unknown, Unseen)
The term of ghaib is used for the things that cannot be perceived through senses. The knowledge of the ghaib belongs to Allah (swt). In Qur'an, it is stated “And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it.” (Anam, 6/59) However, if Allah (swt) wills, He can give His messengers some information about the ghaib. This issue is reported in the Qur'an as follows: “[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone. Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers. That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.” (Jinn, 72/26-28)
Angels are beings that are faithful to the command of Almighty Allah (swt) and have no knowledge other than the knowledge He gives. In the verses of the Qur'an mentioning the creation of the Prophet Adam, it is stated that angels do not know the ghaib and that they have knowledge limited only to what Allah (swt) has revealed: “They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise."” (Baqarah, 2/32)
