WHAT ARE THE PARTS OF BEHAVIOR IN TERMS OF MORALITY?
Behaviors exhibited by people, adopted habits, customs and traditions are divided into two parts as good and bad. Accordingly, akhlaq refers to both good and bad behavior. Good actions and internalized good habits are called good akhlaq and morality, and bad actions and habits are called bad akhlaq or immorality. When we describe a person with morality or immorality in everyday language, we mean the person with good or bad morals, that is bad character and habits respectively.
Good morals and behaviors such as generosity, a sense of shame, being patient, tolerant, austerity i.e. to be content with what we have, to stay away from suspicious things, to be gentle, to be earnest are examples of morality. On the other hand, malignity and behavior such as lies, slander, misrepresentation, i.e. being overly ambitious, wasting, stinginess, showing off, envy, rejoicing in disasters befalling to others, belittling others and seeing oneself superior, and deceiving people are considered as bad in terms of akhlaq.
