Angels are luminous and metaphysical beings. There is no information in the Qur'an about what substance they were created from. However, the mother of the believers, Aisha (as), narrated that Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born (from sounding clay) as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you.  ” (Muslim, Zuhd, 60) Angels created from light cannot be seen with the naked eye and their nature is not known exactly. However, it is a well-known fact that angels can take on different forms and appear before people in different ways.
