Modesty

Modesty means "to be humble, not to be arrogant towards people." In a verse in which the good servants of Allah are mentioned, being humble is listed among their main characteristics,  and the following is stated: “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth in modesty.” (Furqan, 25/63)
A man came to the Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his voice trembled out of awe as he spoke to him. Prophet Muhammad said to him, "Be calm, for I am not a king. Verily,  I am only the son of a woman who ate dried meat.” (Ibn Majah, Atimah, 30) Indeed, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) did not live like a king, did not consider himself superior to anyone, and was always humble despite his many achievements. He emphasized that everyone is equal in terms of being a servant of Allah, and called on believers to be humble. In His famous speech, known as the Farewell Sermon, which He made at the end of His life, He made the following recommendations: “O people!  Your Lord is one. Your father is one.  Just as an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab or a non-Arab over an Arab, red-skinned people do not have superiority over black, and blacks do not have superiority over red-skinned people. Superiority is only in taqwa, in fearing Allah.” (Ibn Hanbal, V, 411)
