Reciting and Understanding of the Qur'an

The Qur'an has a special place in the world of values of believers. As stated in the following verse, they read the Qur'an and hope for the unparalleled reward of their Lord (swt): “Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish.” (Fatir, 35/29)
Recitation of the Qur'an is one of the most important deeds of believers that have been going on for centuries. This is a fruitful and prosperous bond of heart they have established with their Lord (swt). By reading the Qur'an, believers engage with Allah (swt), so they experience spiritual pleasure and peace. The following verse tells us that this situation is the main characteristic of believers: “The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely.” (Anfal, 8/2)
Access to information has become very easy for today's people. This shows us that we need to enter a new period in our relationship with the Qur'an. Because nowadays, it has become very easy to obtain a large number of books of different types or to reach the material related to the content of the Qur'an. Therefore, when reading the Qur’an understanding the verse and contemplating about them must be essential.
