Why do We Believe in Prophets?

Believing that Allah sent prophets upon people is one of the six main pillars of faith. According to Islam, every Muslim has to believe in the prophets and their books after believing in Allah. The Almighty Allah sent many prophets to be a guide, to set an example for people and to lead them from the first human Adam (as) and the Last Prophet Muhammad (saw), and he informed people about the religion through His prophets. In Islam, faith in prophets is generally a requirement of faith and faith in Allah. In the Holy Qur'an, faith in prophets is mentioned as follows: "The Prophet has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers..." (Al-Baqarah, 2/285)
Our Prophet (saw) mentioned the faith in prophets among main principles of faith as follows: "Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, (the) meeting with Him, His Messengers, and to believe in Resurrection. "(Bukhari, Iman, 37) As Muslims, when we recite Kalimat at-Tawhid, the first pillar of being a Muslim, and Kalimat ash-Shahadah, we recite belief in prophet after belief in Allah. With this, we accept that faith in Allah and faith in His Messenger is an inseparable whole. We believe that  faith in Allah cannot be present without faith in His Messenger.
Faith in prophets is to believe that the people chosen by Allah sent to show the true path and that all the information these individuals convey from Allah is authentic and accurate, and to know and confirm the characteristics unique to the prophets. Faith in prophets also requires being a subject to them and to perform the divine orders brought by them. It is noteworthy that when he was asked "Which deed is best?" our beloved Prophet (saw) said, "Faith in Allah and His messenger." (Nasa'i, Iman, 1) which is important to show the relation between faith in prophets and deeds. ( Islam Through Hadiths, I/563.)  Because a prophet is who recites Allah's verses to the believers, teaches the Book and wisdom, and who purifies them from denial and bad deeds(Ali 'Imran, 3/164).
A person who does not embrace the prophet although he/she believes in Allah, actually denies the intervention of the Almighty Creator in the world and human life. So ignoring the prophets who provide the link between the metaphysical universe and the Creator means ignoring the religion as a whole. So there is no sense in practical terms in accepting Allah's presence without believing in the nubuwwah and risalah. Those who believe in the messenger, also believes in Allah who sent the messenger, and those who deny the messenger also deny who sent it, namely Allah. (Hadislerle İslam, I/569) Our beloved Prophet (saw) noted that who does not believe in the prophet, does not believe in Allah as well by saying: "Whoever does not believe in me, does not believe in Allah as well..." (Ibn Hanbal, VI, 382)
