What does Faith in Prophets Mean?
One of Islam's basic religion principles is believing in the prophets who were sent to notify people about Allah's orders and prohibitions. After Allah's presence, oneness, names, and qualities, the prophethood is the next topic that is mentioned the most in Islam. The religion of Islam is actually built on "prophethood". Prophethood and faith in prophets is of great importance in religion as it is conveyed to people by the means of prophets, and all issues regarding the religion especially uluhiyyah (godhead), are known through nubuwwah.
Prophethood means the messengership carried out between Allah and His intellect servants about the affairs of the world and Hereafter. Prophethood is also named as "nubuwwah" and "risalah". Nubuwwah and risalah mean conveying the orders and prohibitions, which were commanded by Allah's revelations, to people and carrying out the duty of messengership.
