Duties of the Prophets

"Conveyance" which is one of the common features of the all prophets is also their most fundamental duty. The prophets are assigned to convey the truth that there is no god but Allah and to invite people to worship Him only. The duty of the prophets is not only about delivering the messages of Allah to people as they are. The prophets are ordered not only to convey the divine teachings to people but also to explain, set an example, and guide them. Exemplariness of the prophets is realized by living all the requirements of religion in an exemplary way as servants.
In short, the prophets are responsible to convey the divine messages, to teach the principles of religion, the ways to worship, individual and social moral principles, to keep people away from their sensual desires and shirk, to make them reach Allah's oneness, to direct them to the good behaviors while keeping them away from the bad ones, to herald the ones who believe and perform good deeds with the Heaven, and to warn those who deny and disobey about the divine punishment.
