Setting an Example for the Human Beings

People need a guide, who will be seen as an example and will set an example in morality and virtue, and who is true and reliable in all aspects. The prophets are exemplary people assigned by Allah to educate people. They conveyed the orders of Allah to people and set an example for people by applying them. Allah sent the prophets for people to take as an example. The prophets are exemplary people in different topics, such as family life, social life, trade relations, and they are sent to be followed. In this respect, it is stated in the Holy Qur'an: "There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.”(Ahzab, 33/21) 

Prophets also contributed to civilization, culture and social development by teaching arts, commerce, agriculture, and various professions to society. They tried to make their ummah happy both in this world and in the Hereafter.
