Prophets were Sent as Allah's Mercy

If Allah, who encompasses everything with His mercy and knowledge and bestows infinite grace and blessings to His creatures, deprived people of guidance, they would not find the truth in belief, worship, and morality. If the prophets had not been sent, people would have difficulty in finding the true good, right and the beautiful and in differentiating what is beneficial and harmful. They would spend a lot of time for that and most of the time they would be under pressure of their emotions, traditions, temporary desires and whims. As a result, they would confuse real truth with practical benefit, and could not make an accurate decision. (Kılavuz, Ahmet Saim et al., Ilmihal, I/108) So for this and similar reasons, Allah had sent prophets as a result of His mercy: "And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds." (Anbya, 21/107)
