Teaching Human the Purpose of Creation and Notifying Them about the Religious Requirements

It is impossible for a religion to be conveyed to people and be understood without the prophets. Another wisdom of Allah's sending prophets is that He informs people of His purpose in creating them. The purpose and wisdom of the creation and of sending human to this world is to know his creator, to believe and serve Him. (Dhariyat, 51/56) One of the reasons for sending the prophets is explained in the Qur'an as follows: "And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], 'Worship Allah and avoid Taghut'..." (Nahl, 16/36)
In addition to the acquisition of religious information, guidance of the prophet is needed in its application. For instance, in the Qur'an it is mentioned that zakat is fardh and to whom it should be given, but it is not explained in detail how much and which goods to give.  People need explanations of the prophets in these and similar situations. Rasul al-Akram said on the way to pray, "Pray as you have seen me praying."(Bukhari, Adhan, 18) and on worship of hajj, "Take rituals of worship of Hajj from me." (Tirmidhi, Hajj, 38) One of the reasons why Allah sent prophets upon people is to meet these kind of needs of human beings.
