Salah al-Duha (Ritual Prayer in the Mid-Morning)

Salah al-Duha, or the Mid-Morning Ritual Prayer, is a nafilah ritual prayer that can be performed 50 minutes after sunrise until the sun starts reaching its peak. It can be performed as two, four, eight or twelve rak’ahs. (Sahih Muslim, Musafirun, 78, 80; Sahih Bukhari, Taqsir as-Salah, 12) Even if one's sins are as much as the foam of the sea, this salah will expiate for a person who performs it regularly. (Sunan Ibn Majah, Iqamah as-salawat, 187; Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Witr, 15) Prophet Muhammad (saw) foretold that Allah (swt) builds a mansion of gold for the one who performs it as 12 rak’ahs. (Sunan Ibn Majah, Iqamah as-salawat, 187; Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Witr, 15)
