Aid of Angels
Angels are beings who fully fulfill the task given to them by Almighty Allah (swt) and never disobey His orders. Therefore, it is not possible for them to help anyone without Allah's (swt) command. However, it is stated in various verses and hadiths that angels will support and aid Muslims by Allah's (swt) command. The verses about the Battle of Badr, which was the first great war of Muslims against the polytheists of Mecca, are among the most obvious proofs of the aid of angels. Allah (swt) first sent 1000 angels to aid Muslims in the Battle of Badr, (Anfal, 8/9) and then sent 3000 more angels to boost the morale of the Muslims, thus accelerating the defeat of the polytheists.(.Komisyon, Kur’an Yolu Türkçe Meal ve Tefsir, I, 666) This issue is stated in the verse as follows:“[Remember] when you said to the believers, "Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down? Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allah and the enemy come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]. (Al-i Imran, 3/124-127)Allah (swt) has sent these angels only to be a sign of victory for believers and to calm their hearts and raise their morale. Otherwise, the victory is already in His power. If He wished, He would strike fear into the hearts of the enemy without sending angels and give victory to the believers. But He did so because His hikmah (wisdom) necessitated helping by sending angels. (Komisyon, Kur’an Yolu Türkçe Meal ve Tefsir, I, 667)
In this respect, it can be said that with the permission of Allah (swt), angels can aid and support people at any time. Therefore, it is clear that there is a connection between angels and humans, even though it is invisible and its nature and content cannot be known exactly. However, it is not always appropriate to consider this as an actual intervention. There are angels' aid in the form of performing istighfar for Muslims, making people choose to behave well by inspiring goodness in their hearts, and protecting people from many harms and dangers that they are unaware of, in line with Allah's (swt) permission, will and order.
As a result, the most important thing to know about the help and support of angels is the fact that they are by Allah's (swt) command, and that neither angels nor any other being can help people without Allah's (swt) permission.
